What’s up with the movies
Jarod | April 19, 2009Haven’t seen many new movies lately. Picked up 28 Weeks Later for cheap on Heathrow airport (spent my left-over coins, weird Brits still use that old-fashioned currency). Reasonably okay, but the first one was better.
But besides that and Watchmen, not so much. I haven’t even been able to see the final episodes of Galactica. I enjoyed a few episodes of Dollhouse, but that’s about it. I skipped a few like The International that I really wanted to see, the thing about cinema being too expensive for the value it delivers is still there. However, Star Trek is on the horizon.
Game-wise though, I’ve been playing a lot Team Fortress 2 with a few colleagues of mine. I’ve never liked the game too much, I’m more of a Call Of Duty type, but playing with friends makes up for that.
Work is keeping me very, very busy these days. Short-notice trip to the UK, long hours (well that’s not really new…) and an increased pace in general add to the stress levels. In total I’ve had seven flights already this year (though three of them were private). On the other hand, it’s all very motivating, and I really love what I’m doing. I’m looking forward to see how all the work pays off.
So it was a very British week. Sandwiches and crisps for lunch, hot English breakfast, and tea, a lot of tea. Now all I need is a key for the Jumpgate Evolution Beta/Alpha/whatever (Codemasters are Britain-based…) and it would be the full circle.
